Specsavers is the world’s largest privately owned optical and hearing company with 30,000 employees in 10 countries. Each territory was duplicating onboarding with its own face-to-face training. The company was also missing an opportunity to excite new starters about its values. Pre-boarding had never been tried before.

All new recruits at Specsavers now start work with a consistent Global Online Induction, which is delivering big savings. Through collaborative partnership, our creative team turned initial ideas into an engaging programme.              

Bringing values to life online is notoriously hard, but the induction module cleverly links the virtual to the tangible. Employees are motivated to earn a digital coin that goes towards a charitable donation on completion. This gamification is subtle, but the technology is smart, allowing learners to see, in real time, their donations accumulate.
